Applying for a CMA Program

The CMA path takes different forms in the same way that applicants have any one of many varied backgrounds (and interests). CMA’s high standards are never comprised, but we do provide options and choices where we can.

To optimize your time and efforts, we strongly encourage potential applicants to have a transcript review before applying for a program.

1. Determine your eligibility and designation path

Transcript evaluation by CMA

This is the most-precise way to confirm your eligibility for a CMA program and is highly recommended. Our administration looks forward to providing you with written confirmation of your standing as well as a recommendation on your optimal CMA path.

To have a transcript evaluation performed, please send an email to Sherry Dunn listing your academic (and professional-designation) transcripts and indicating whether each is included or forthcoming. Note that official transcripts are required.

Please note that it normally takes up to five business days for CMA to respond with an evaluation and path recommendation. In the case of transcript from outside Canada, Bermuda, or the campuses of the University of the West Indies, it may take up to 20 business days if course descriptions are not readily available (please see related FAQ for additional details).

2. Submit an application

CMA Accelerated Program – Application Form
Register by December 5, 2008 for classes beginning January 10, 2009
Register by August 7, 2009 for classes beginning September 4, 2009
Please note that processing time is generally five-to-ten business days, at which time you will be sent a letter confirming your application status.

CMA Entrance Exam – Registration Form
Register by May 8, 2009 for exam taking place June 16, 2009
Register by September 4, 2009 for exam taking place October 14, 2009
Please note that registrants will be mailed receipts within two weeks and, additionally, will receive exam-related details (including prep-session details) by email five-to-six weeks prior to the entrance-exam writing date.

Register by July 15, 2009 for classes beginning in September 2009
