Step 1: Getting Qualified Part A: Prerequisite Coursework ....or during your university studies University students in a business or commerce program can usually take the majority of CMA prerequisite topics as part of their degree, and if necessary, taking the remainder through another university and/or distance-learning programs. Students who obtain all 16 prerequisite topics may then challenge the CMA Entrance Exam directly (i.e. without needing to take the CMA Accelerated Program). As a means of self-evaluation, please refer to the full list of 16 CMA prerequisite topics found in this brochure. Note however, that it is strongly recommended that a transcript evaluation be performed by our office prior to finalizing your course selections; especially as universities do make frequent changes to both course content and course numbers.
Note also that applicants must complete a university degree before applying for the CMA Entrance Exam.
