Automobile Insurance
Meloche Monnex
The Society with Meloche Monnex has arranged affordable automobile insurance to help protect members
against the potential costs associated with personal liability or damage due to automobile accidents.
• Members can request liability coverage up to $2,000,000.
• There is free automatic coverage of up to $20,000 against damage to a rented vehicle or trailer.
• At no cost, coverage against damage and theft is provided for most permanently installed car phones.
• Insured repairs carried out at any service centre within an approved network carry a 12-month
guarantee.
• In the greater Toronto Area, members can access an appraisal service for auto damages where and when
they need it.
• On collision deductibles of $500 or less, members will receive a 10 per cent reduction for each claim
free year.
• Members can obtain a preferred rating that is based on occasional business use of their automobiles.

Home Insurance

This coverage, provided by Meloche Monnex, offers a full range of options to meet the particular needs of
home and condominium owners, and tenants.
• The Million-Dollar Solution provides up to $1,000,000 coverage on your home and personal property. This
policy virtually eliminates the risk of being inadequately compensated for the loss of undervalued
possessions. Special policy options are available to ensure coverage for valuables, art and collectibles, and
secondary or seasonal residences.
• Reduced premiums are available, based on various criteria such as the age of the property and a claim
free record.
• At no extra cost, policies can also cover the loss, damage, or theft of such items as computers for
personal use and the property of dependent children while away at school, as well as damage form household
disasters such as sewer backup.

Meloche Monnex
For information on life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, personal health and dental
insurance, and extended health care are available through Meloche Monnex at special rates.
Out-of-province insurance program protects members and their families against emergency medical costs ($
1,000,000) and other insured services if an accident or illness occurs while outside of a member’s province
of residence. For a modest annual premium, coverage is provide year round for unlimited trips of periods of
up to 60 days.

Professional Liability Insurance
LMS Prolink Ltd
Professional Liability Insurance is available through LMS Prolink Ltd to all CMAs whose management
accounting practice is registered with the Society. The policy insures those sums that the CMA becomes
legally obligated to pay as compensatory damages due to any claim made against the CMA because of an error,
omission or negligent act.
Members in public practice must carry a minimum coverage of $1,000,000. Only members who are licensed
public accountants may practice assurance activities, including but not limited to audits and review
engagements. Activities encompassed within the definition of "Public Accountancy" are defined in the Public
Accountants Act Interpretations.
Members who provide volunteer services to not for profit associations should ensure that association
provides professional liability coverage for its volunteers.

Small Business Insurance
Meloche Monnex
Small business insurance is available to protect the entrepreneurial member. Whether the office is located
in or outside the home, this insurance covers loss of earnings, equipment and general liability and includes
a replacement cost clause. Landlord business interruptions insurance is also available.
