Opportunities for Advanced Standing on the CMA Path

CMA-Accredited University Programs

Graduates of a CMA-accredited university program that satisfy all requirements are exempt from writing the CMA Entrance Exam allowing them to proceed directly to their CMA professional studies.

To be eligible for this specialized path, applicants are required to have graduated from a CMA-accredited university program with an overall average of 75 per cent or higher, have completed all 17 prerequisite topics prior to having their degree conferred, and must do so within a total of six years.

Note that the dates that each CMA-accredited university program took effect vary. Please contact our CMA Program Advisor to ensure you qualify.

It is highly recommended that university students have their transcript evaluated before graduation to ensure full coverage of the prerequisite topics.

Currently local CMA-accredited programs are offered at the following Atlantic Canadian institutions:

•  Saint Mary’s University (click here to view the press release)
•  Mount Saint Vincent University (click here to view the press release)
•  University of Prince Edward Island (click here to view the press release)
•  Memorial University of Newfoundland
•  Mount Allison University
•  University of New Brunswick (Fredericton campus)

The CMA-accredited program will be extended to graduates of the Bachelor of Business Administration degree programme at Bermuda College as it is an articulated degree arrangement between Bermuda College and Mount Saint Vincent University.

To determine your eligibility, and receive a comprehensive path recommendation, please complete and submit the CMA Eligibility Review request form.
